New Releases, 30 November 2010

So it hasn't been a great week, what with Leslie Nielsen dying and all. We couldn't possibly begin to make up for that, but here's a small step forward:

CAIRO TIME
From Ragtag, an acclaimed film about the wife of a diplomat finding unexpected romance in some country...one of the desert ones...which one is that again?

KNIGHT AND DAY
Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz find unexpected romance and numerous assassins all over the world.

GOING THE DISTANCE
Drew Barrymore and the Mac kid from the commercials find unexpected romance in a boat.

WAKING SLEEPING BEAUTY
From last year's T/F, the story of the rejuvenation of Disney Studios in the 90s, filled with tons of great stuff.

THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE
Nic Cage is BACK! This time he's an ancient wizard in modern New York, and he has to fight another ancient wizard with the help of a young schlub or...surprise, the world ends.

PARKS AND RECREATION Season 2
Second season of the hit show. Who knew city government could be this fun?...

and, coming out December 4th:
TWILIGHT ECLIPSE
Hot vampire or hot werewolf, vampire or werewolf...how's a modern gal to decide?!

RIP Frank Drebin and we'll see everyone next week!

Criterion Editions

Two absolute masterpieces in great new editions, highly recommend them!

Have a great week! And to help you do so, here is a quote of inspiration from John Tesh:
"I grew up wanting to be a musician, but my parents were sure I would starve to death. So, they put me in physics and chemistry. That eventually blew up, and I got into radio."
